Prior to starting a daily blog with mini lyrical abstract paintings, I already made similar small sized artworks with sand and acrylics. These miniatures, created in 2010, are called 'Sand Tiles'. The wide borders on top and on the bottom of the 'Daily Abstractions' are not there yet. Sand Tiles are fully covered canvases of 20 x 20 cm (7.87 x 7.87 inch). Layers of sand in which I experimented with water and fluid paint. The full series is available in print.
