Sand Tiles

Since 2010, prior to the series of ´Daily Abstractions' (the 'abstract painting a day' series started December 1, 2017), I created several series of small abstract artworks, using acrylics and sand. Some of these 'Sandtiles', as I used to call them, have been used as basic cover artwork for my Thrillers.

Sandtiles do not have the small white border on top, nor the wider white border at the bottom of the Daily Abstractions. Instead the acrylics and sand layer(s) cover the entire canvas of the miniature paintings (20 x 20 cm / 7.87 x 7.87 inch).
